Luis Suarez: No regrets over Evra row

The FC team debates who should be crowned January's Player of the Month; you may be surprised with their answers!

Luis Suarez has again protested his innocence over his bust-up with Patrice Evra that landed him an eight-match ban in 2011.

Kelly: The mark of champions?
Rodgers hails Liverpool spirit

Suarez has 26 goals to his name this season, and the Liverpool striker is finally attracting headlines for the right reasons following a turbulent first two-and-a-half years at Anfield.

He was fined 40,000 pounds after being found guilty of racially abusing Evra by the FA, received a 10-match ban for biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic last season and has regularly been accused of diving.

Though Suarez admits his clash with Ivanovic was a mistake, along with a similar incident involving PSV's Otman Bakkal when he played for Ajax, the Uruguay international remains adamant he was falsely accused over the Evra incident.

"All the other things were like a movie that people in England believed in," Suarez told Uruguayan radio station Radio 890 in quotes picked up by The Sun.

"The case with Evra was all false. I was accused without proof. But that's in the past. I was sad at that moment but I'm happy today.

"Let me tell you, I've made only two mistakes in my career. My first was when I was playing for Ajax and I bit an opponent. My second was when I bit Ivanovic.

"Those two were my only two mistakes as a footballer. I said I'm sorry and that was all -- end of story. I've nothing else to regret.

"I have grown up. I have thought more about things before doing them.

"Now people in England can't talk about me because I'm not doing anything wrong. They have to talk only about me as a footballer."
