Pepe Reina unsure of Liverpool future

Pepe Reina says he will talk to Liverpool about his future in the summer while suggesting he wants to stay at Serie A side Napoli next season.

Reina, 31, has long been linked with a return to his first club, Barcelona, and before moving to join Rafa Benitez in Italy on loan last summer hinted regularly that he would be very interested in a move back to the Camp Nou.

Kelly: Pressure of Suarez escape bid

Barca are already reported to have tied up Borussia Moenchengladbach keeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen in a 12 million euro deal to be completed next summer. However the Catalan club are likely to be in the market for two keepers given current pair Victor Valdes and Jose Pinto are both out of contract at the end of the season.

The Spain international told Marca that he saw himself playing in Serie A next year, although he and his agent would talk to Liverpool before coming to any final decision.

"My future is here, in Italy, and we'll see what happens in June," Reina said. "I don't know where I'll be next year, but my plan is to enjoy this season and do a good job. Then I'll have to go to Liverpool and make a decision. They have to explain to me what their intentions are. I'm not currently up to speed on all of the possible offers which might come in, because that's a job for my agent."

Reina said that for the moment he was more concerned about Wednesday’s Coppa Italia second leg at home to Roma -- with Napoli having looked dead and buried at one point when 2-0 down in the first game.

"We have to win at home and keep a clean sheet if possible," he said. "That is the minimum a team needs to do if it wants to be in with a chance of a trophy. We have to come back from 3-2 down, but with the way things were going, we would all have taken that in an instant."
