Premier Showdown - January 28-29

What drama! It was a woefully low-scoring round list time but, right at the death, Tommy Smyth's nephew Padraig stole in at the last with a correct scoreline in the game between West Brom and Everton. Family bragging rights stay in Ireland this season!

Back to the normal competition, then, and representing the Rest of the World in our midweek round is Hadi Azad who becomes our first-ever challanger from Afghanistan, Kabul to be precise!

He tells Showdown: "I am a MASSIVE fan of the Premier League and my favourite team is Liverpool. I work in an international bank (First Micro Finance Bank - AKDN (Aga Khan Development Network)) and I am 28 years old."

Game on!

For each round of matches we invite someone to represent the Rest of the World and take on  ESPN FC TV's Tommy Smyth and ESPN FC journalist Dale Johnson in our predictions game.

Points are then awarded as follows:
- Three points for a correct result and scoreline
- One point for a correct result

After the weekend's scores are in and the Showdown result has been worked out, the winning pundit receives three points for their season's total Should the challenger win, the total is added to the Rest of the World tally. In the case of a draw, the points are shared.

We want your entries for the next round of games - so get your selections in now!

Hadi sneaks home by a point to make it back to back wins for the Rest of the World. Are they getting back into the race?
