Jose Mourinho blasts West Ham style

Chelsea first team manager Jose Mourinho described West Ham's style of play as 'from the 19th-century' after their 0-0 draw in the Premier league on Wednesday.

Jose Mourinho hit out at Sam Allardyce after Chelsea were held to a 0-0 draw at Stamford Bridge, accusing his West Ham counterpart of playing "football from the 19th century."

Chelsea fell three points off the pace following Manchester City's 5-1 win at Tottenham, dropping points for just the second time at home this season.

The result means Chelsea will not be able to overtake City at the top of the Premier League even if they beat them next Monday -- unless they win 10-0.

Adrian made a number of terrific saves to deny Chelsea, with Mourinho left angered by West Ham's defensive tactics.

"It's very difficult to play a football match when only one team wants to play. A football match is about two teams playing," Mourinho said.

"I told Big Sam [Allardyce], they need points. To come here the way they did, is that acceptable? Maybe it is, they need points.

"This is not Premier League, this is not the best league in the world. This is football from the 19th century.

"The only thing I can bring more to win was a Black and Decker. A Black and Decker to destroy the wall."

Allardyce, though, said Mourinho “can’t take” being “out-tactic-ed”, as the West Ham manager relished his side’s draw at Chelsea.

“He can't take it can he,” Allardyce said. “He can't take him because we've out-tactic-ed him, out-witted him. He just can't cope. He can tell me all he wants.

"I don't give a s---e, to be honest. I love to see Chelsea players moaning at the referee, trying to intimidate him, Jose jumping up and down in his technical area. It's great to see.”
