The 2011 Championship winning striker returns to the club after departing for Melbourne Victory at the end of that season, and will fill the spot vacated by youngster Kwame Yeboah.
Yeboah was sold to Bundesliga heavyweight Borussia Moenchengladbach after scoring two goals in 10 games at the start of the season.
Brisbane manager Mike Mulvey said he had found a “proven goal-scorer” in Solorzano, who scored 11 goals in his previous stint with the club.
"As a club, we were looking for a quality player to add depth to the squad after the departure of Kwame Yeboah," Mulvey said.
"We wanted to add a goal-scoring option off the bench, someone who is capable of scoring late goals and Nico is proven goal-scorer in this competition."
