Sassuolo stun Milan, Juventus stroll

Domenico Berardi secured a sensational win for Serie A strugglers Sassuolo with four goals against AC Milan, who led 2-0 before succumbing 4-3.

Robinho and Mario Balotelli put the visitors two up in the space of 13 minutes, but Berardi netted a hat-trick in a little more than 25 minutes to turn the game on its head.

The 19-year-old added a fourth goal early in the second half and Sassuolo held on to move out of the bottom three, despite a Riccardo Montolivo goal which set up a grandstand finish.

Juventus demonstrated their attacking power as they came from behind to defeat Cagliari 4-1 and remain eight points clear at the top of Serie A; Fernando Llorente scored twice as Juve made it 11 league wins in a row.

Mauricio Pinilla put Cagliari in front, but his day ended badly with a late red card which completed the hosts' misery.

Llorente levelled it up before half-time and Claudio Marchisio, just on as a substitute, made it 2-1 with a fine strike. Llorente tapped in the third before the impressive Stephan Lichtsteiner made it 4-1.

Roma gave Genoa a footballing lesson at the Stadio Olimpico to keep up the chase of Juventus at the top with a 4-0 win.

A stunning Alessandro Florenzi overhead kick was followed by goals from Francesco Totti, Maicon and Medhi Benatia as the Giallorossi bounced back from their first defeat of the season last weekend.

Genoa ended the game with 10 men after Francesco Matuzalem was shown a red card on the hour mark.

Napoli kept up their challenge with a convincing 3-0 win at Hellas Verona.

Dries Mertens put the visitors ahead after 27 minutes before goals by Lorenzo Insigne and Blerim Dzemaili in four second-half minutes sealed victory. Rafael Benitez's side remain in third, two points behind Roma but 10 adrift of leaders Juventus.

Fiorentina may have to step up their search for a new striker to fill in for the injured Giuseppe Rossi and Mario Gomez after drawing a blank in a 0-0 draw at Torino.

For only the third time this season the Viola failed to find the back of the net, although Borja Valero did his utmost to convince coach Vincenzo Montella of his attacking worth.

Alessio Cerci was Torino's most dangerous player but neither could supply the winning blow.

Atalanta claimed their first victory in two months with a 2-1 triumph over rock-bottom Catania.

German Denis put the hosts ahead from the penalty spot after the hour mark before Maximiliano Moralez made it 2-0 in the 86th minute. Substitute Sebastian Leto gave Catania a lifeline by pulling a goal back with a minute to go but the Sicilian club could not find the equaliser.

The outcome was Atalanta's sixth win of the campaign, their first since November 10, and moved the Bergamo side to 12th in the standings.
