No Zaha loan for Swansea, Palace
Swansea have insisted reports that they are planning to take Wilfried Zaha on loan from Manchester United are incorrect, while Crystal Palace also appear to be out of the running.
David Moyes will allow the England international to join another Premier League club for the second half of the season to get some top-flight experience.
Swansea, like Cardiff, Newcastle, Everton and Crystal Palace, has been mooted as a possible destination for the 21-year-old but chairman Huw Jenkins told the South Wales Evening Post: “That’s wrong.”
Cardiff are now favourites to land Zaha after Crystal Palace manager Tony Pulis admitted that the Eagles, who sold United the winger for 15 million pounds last year, will not be securing his return.
Pulis told talkSPORT: “We've spoken to David Moyes about Zaha and I don't think he's too keen on him coming back to London.”
Zaha has only made four appearances for United and is yet to start a Premier League game since his move from Palace, which Sir Alex Ferguson arranged before retiring.
Swansea are currently without injured wingers Roland Lamah and Pablo Hernandez and are monitoring Blackpool’s England under-21 international Thomas Ince.
Jenkins added: "We've asked Blackpool to keep us in the loop on Tom Ince, and that is as far as it has gone. That's just us doing our job."
