Aberdeen have signed Swansea City defender Alan Tate on loan until the end of the season.
Tate, 31, had spent time on loan at Championship side Yeovil earlier this season but had to leave Huish Park due to a hamstring injury.
He has not featured for Swansea since September 2012 and will now join the Dons, who currently sit third in the Scottish Premier League, to cover for the absence of injured defenders Clark Robertson and Andy Considine.
Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes told his club’s official website: "We are pretty short in terms of cover in that department, and I'm delighted to bring in someone with Alan's experience. While Alan is predominantly a centre-back, he can also play at full-back if required, and he'll go straight into the squad for Sunday [against Kilmarnock]."
