Kwame Yeboah is set to sign for Borussia Monchengladbach.

The 19-year-old has made a strong start to his debut season, scoring two goals in nine appearances for the competition leaders.

And that form has caught the eye of Monchengladbach, with the German giants hoping to complete formalities ahead of the January window.

Despite losing one if its young stars, Roar Football Director Ken Stead said the transfer represented a ‘great achievement’ for the league’s most northern club.

“As a club, we will not stand in the way of opportunities like this for our young players,” Roar Football Director Ken Stead said.

“It’s a great achievement for Brisbane Roar to see so many former players excelling in top leagues overseas and as part of the Socceroos.

“This new environment will allow Kwame to continually improve his game and further his youth and senior national team ambitions in the future.”

Yeboah will miss the Roar’s clash against Newcastle Jets on Friday but could be available for the Boxing Day match against Sydney FC.
