Bale and Ribery on World XI shortlist

Gareth Bale put Real Madrid 2-1 at Juventus but it would not be enough to earn the points.

On Wednesday, a 20-man shortlist was revealed to make up the back four of the star XI, which will be announced on Jan. 13, 2014, at FIFA's Ballon d'Or presentation in Zurich.

Real Madrid's Isco, Borussia Dortmund's Marco Reus and Juventus' Arturo Vidal debut on the list, while Barcelona's Xavi is looking to make the XI for a sixth year in a row.
