Dimitar Berbatov's agent has told Press Association Sport that the striker is looking to leave Fulham.

Berbatov is said to be keen to remain in the Premier League.

Berbatov, 32, joined the Craven Cottage club in 2012 after being released by Manchester United, and has scored 16 goals in 44 Premier League appearances for them.

Fulham are currently in the relegation zone and recently replaced manager Martin Jol with Rene Meulensteen.

And Berbatov's agent, Emil Dantchev, has claimed he could seek an exit in the forthcoming transfer window.

"I don't usually speculate as nobody knows what will happen in January, but what I can tell you is he is not happy at Fulham," Dantchev told Press Association Sport.

"He would like, if possible, to find another option."

Turkish club Trabzonspor have been mooted as potential suitors for Berbatov, but Dantchev suggested the Bulgarian would prefer to remain in the Premier League.

"I cannot comment [on whether there has been any approach], but the priority is to find a solution to stay in England," he said.
