De Martinis: Roma's welcome break

Pjanic, 23, has been linked with a move to the Premier League, with the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur all reported to be interested.

However, the Bosnia international, whose contract expires in 2015, appears set to remain with Serie A leaders Roma.

“I won’t exclude the possibility of one day playing elsewhere, but I doubt this will happen soon,” he is quoted as saying by Football Italia. “It certainly won’t be in January, which is what some people have said, and certainly not in the next year and a half either.”
