Garcia: Roma 'can't win them all'

Roma boss Rudi Garcia has admitted the Italian club “can’t win” every match after watching his side lose its 100% record against Torino.

New Roma coach Rudi Garcia is targeting a European spot.

• De Martinis: Roma's run ends

Roma finally tarnished their amazing start to the Serie A when they drew 1-1 away in Turin.

Earlier, the capital club made history by becoming the first club in the league to win its opening 10 matches.

But despite Roma dropping their first points of the season, Garcia believed the result against Torino provided a valuable point.

“This is football, we can’t win them all, but a draw away from home is not a negative result,” Garcia told reporters after the game.

“I liked that we played all the through in order to win. Even at the end we attacked to the final whistle and tried to get the victory.

“We must make the most of this point, as it is valuable, and be ready to win the next game at home to Sassuolo. I hope we can then break away from Juventus or Napoli, maybe even both.”

However, Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi admitted the players were ‘tired’ after completing their historic run.

“After such an extraordinary run it can happen to have a little slip-up and we felt tired towards the end, so weren’t as sharp as usual," he told Sky Sport Italia.

“It’s particularly disappointing considering we dominated the game. Torino just sat back and defended, but we’ve got to get used to that this season.”
