Patrice Evra sets United target

Patrice Evra has set Manchester United the target of recording ten straight wins to get their season back on track.

Payne: United delight in emphatic victory

The Premier League champions have had a difficult start to the campaign, dropping points to the likes of West Brom and Southampton.

However, they are currently on their best run under manager David Moyes after winning their last three games.

But left-back Evra believes they need to turn their form into a series of triumphs to show they are “back in business”.

Evra told the Daily Mirror: “The problem is not that we are doing badly, it is because we are not doing things well enough. We’ve lost our consistency and we need to find it really quickly if want to win every trophy.

“We can’t win one game and draw the next one, or lose it. Now, every game is important.

“When we win ten games in a row, I will say Manchester United are back in business. At the moment, we’re not.”

United, who face Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday, have not recorded ten straight wins since their run of 11 consecutive victories in January and February of 2009.

And Evra added: “We have to make sure we win games, even if we do it in a bad way or an ugly way. We need to win those ten games. We don’t have any choice.”
