Does Man Utd. have enough talent?
Shortly after former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson celebrated his 13th English Premier League title and rode off into the proverbial sunset, he implored the Old Trafford faithful to "stand by the new manager." Ferguson was speaking specifically of former Everton head man David Moyes. Named Manager of the Year in 2003, 2005 and 2009 with the Toffees, Moyes had signed a six-year, 30 million pound contract with United last spring to assume the almost impossible task of replacing the legend.
United fans also understood that replacing Ferguson would be a difficult venture for Moyes, but they almost surely expected more than 11 points earned after eight matches out of the defending Premier League champions -- especially returning roughly the same personnel as last season.
But is it possible that Manchester United doesn't have enough talent to win the Premier League given the moves other teams have made? Or is Moyes not getting enough out of his players?
