Rzouki: Ambition and finances

A hotel, commercial centre and other projects will also be situated on the area of wasteland, known as La Continassa, which inhabits is disused fields and warehouses at the moment.

Totalling 180,000 square metres, the purchase has cost Juventus a reported €11.7 million, just short of what they paid for the services of Carlos Tevez.

A club statement said: “This act consents Juventus to guarantee itself, for the duration of 99 years, which can be extended, the right to an area of approximately 180,000 m2, destined to welcome in years to come also tourist, hospitality and entertainment structures, private residences and commercial activities.”

Juve will now set about regenerating “an area which is currently in a state of total neglect”, which will become the Serie A club’s new home, focusing all activities into the same area in the north of the Piedmont capital.
