The Western Sydney Wanderers have secured a commanding 5-0 victory over Guangzhou R&F in the A-League club's second pre-season tour match in Asia.
New recruit Brendon Santalab scored the Wanderers' opening goal 32 minutes into the first half in steamy conditions at Sanshui training base on Sunday.
Labinot Haliti and Youssouf Hersi went on to net themselves a double in the second term, even without the help of star Shinji Ono who was rested for the game.
Hersi says the conditions were testing.
"I was lucky because I only came on for the last 30 minutes, it was really hot out there, and I got two goals," Hersi said.
"While it is very hot, it is good to be here in preparation for the (Asian) Champions League."
The 31-year-old said the three-game tour, which concludes on Thursday with a match against Tokyo Verdy in the Japanese capital, had been an invaluable experience for the A-League newcomers.
"All the stuff on this trip - the travelling, meeting the new players, and seeing what it is like playing here - everything is a new experience for us and we are learning, which is good," he said.
The Wanderers drew their first match 2-2 against Ono's former club Shimizu S-Pulse in Japan last Wednesday.
