Nick Powell and Bebe make loan moves

Manchester United have sent Nick Powell and Bebe out on loan for the season.

Nick Powell
Nick Powell will look to secure more first-team experience.

Powell has joined Wigan while Bebe has gone to back to his native club Portugal to play for Pacos de Ferreira.

Bebe, the £7.6 million signing Sir Alex Ferguson bought before seeing play, has not featured for United since February 2011.

The 23-year-old has only made seven appearances for them and has spent the last two seasons out on loan at Besiktas and Rio Ave.

Powell, 19, joined United from Crewe for £4 million last summer and scored on his Premier League debut for the club.

But he only made six appearances for the champions last season and has become Owen Coyle’s 11th summer signing after agreeing to spend the campaign with the Championship club.

The Wigan manager has also brought in Chris McCann, Stephen Crainey, Thomas Rogne, Leon Barnett, Juan Garcia, Grant Holt, James Perch, Scott Carson, Marc-Antoine Fortune and James McClean.
