Monaco have announced the signing of Geoffrey Kondogbia from Sevilla.
The Ligue 1 side opted to pay Kondogbia’s €20 million release clause and the 20-year-old , who had also been linked with Arsenal, has penned a five-year contract
Monaco welcomed the France international with a message on the club’s official Twitter feed.
The former Lens player, who made his full international debut in the recent friendly draw in Belgium, is seen by Monaco as the perfect central midfield partner for Jeremy Toulalan, with Joao Moutinho deployed as the chief creator in front of them.
Sevilla had already brought in Stephane Mbia on a season-long loan from Queens Park Rangers to replace Kondogbia.
