Nani has agreed a new contract with Manchester United, according to Juventus, one of the clubs who had considered signing him.

Agent: Kagawa staying put

Nani’s current deal, signed in 2010, is set to expire in the 2014, meaning United risk losing him on a free transfer next year, and the Portugal international has been the subject of reported interest from several clubs this summer, including Monaco, Galatasaray, Anzhi Makhachkala and Juventus.

United have made no announcement over the player's contract but Juve director general Giuseppe Marotta told Mediaset Premium: “He’s renewed his contract with Manchester United and we never negotiated for him.”

Nani was a £17 million signing from Sporting Lisbon in 2007 and has gone on to score 40 goals in 212 games for United.

He won their Players’ Player of the Year award in 2010-11, his best season at the club, but suffered an injury-hit season last year, when he only made 17 appearances and was sent off against Real Madrid as United exited the Champions League.

The Portugal international is yet to feature in a competitive game this season because of a groin injury he sustained in a friendly against AIK Solna on August 6.
