Napoli sign Duvan Zapata
Benitez: Big win no surprise

The Argentina striker was enjoying a day off after Napoli’s 3-0 win over Bologna at the Stadio San Paolo on Sunday, but spent the afternoon in hospital after slipping while disembarking from a yacht onto nearby rocks.

Two stitches were required on his cheek with a further eight on his jaw, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport and the Corriere dello Sport.

Higuain enjoyed a winning debut in an Azzurri shirt, with a Marek Hamsik brace and a further goal from Jose Callejon securing a sizeable victory and top spot in Serie A.

Rafael Benitez was happy with his team’s performance and Higuain’s contribution.

“I’m satisfied. The lads worked really well, and I expected a game as good as this,” he told Mediaset. “Higuain helps us very much with his movements, but I’d like to underline the performance of Pandev, Hamsik and Callejon. They all have to score goals and help Gonzalo.”
