Samuel Eto'o's future undecided

Inter Milan are still in the hunt for Anzhi Makhachkala forward Samuel Eto’o, although they only have a one in three chance of getting him, according to the player's agent.

Samuel Eto'o could be the answer as Jose Mourinho's searches for a new striker.
Samuel Eto'o looks set to move to either the Premier League or Serie A.

Claudio Vigorelli, who represents the Cameroonian, revealed to Italy’s Sportmediaset TV that three clubs currently come into question for the 32-year-old. Inter are one of them, although they will have to take their place in line behind Chelsea and Manchester United.

Vigorelli is reported to be touting his client to the Blues, where he would link up with his coach from the 2010 Serie A, Coppa Italia and Champions League Treble with the Nerazzurri, Jose Mourinho. A move to London hinges on whether or not Wayne Rooney arrives at Stamford Bridge.

Were the England international to head south, United would then emerge as the frontrunners for Eto’o’s services. Should a move to Old Trafford also fail to materialise, then Inter would be next up.

"I’d say there is a 30% chance of Eto’o returning to Inter," Vigorelli said.

Eto’o enjoyed a successful two-year spell at Inter, scoring 33 goals in 67 games before making a big-money switch to Anzhi, but now he is no longer wanted by the Russian club because of cost-cutting.

Meanwhile, Inter did complete one deal on Tuesday with Saphir Taider arriving from Serie A rivals Bologna. "I’m very happy and I want to thank Bologna and Inter for giving me this opportunity," the midfielder said on his new club’s official website. "Inter are a great club who have won everything and I’m delighted to be here."
