Arsenal attacker Theo Walcott said he would welcome the arrival of Luis Suarez but believes the Gunners “are a great team” even without the Uruguay international.

Arsenal, Liverpool and Suarez are locked in one of the most talked about transfer sagas of the summer with the 26-year-old striker recently hitting out against the Anfield club, claiming they are not keeping their word by refusing him a move to north London.
However, Reds manager Brendan Rodgers has refuted Suarez’s claims, believing the former Ajax man lacked ‘respect’ for the club.
Meanwhile, the saga has done little to dissuade Suarez’s potential team-mates, with Walcott confident the club will snare a “top-class player” if Suarez was to sign.
But even without the skilled, but controversial player, Walcott remained positive about Arsenal’s chances for the upcoming season.
“If he (Suarez) comes, great,” Walcott said. “Even if we stay as we are now, we are a great team and we showed that in the last 10 games last season. We just need to do that a bit more on a consistent level at the start of this year but every player who is at Arsenal is a top-class player.
“You're not going to get an average player come to Arsenal, I think that every player that is here is a top-class player. The boss has believed in so many players he has brought in and they have done so well.”
