'No bids' for United target Fellaini

Roberto Martinez has revealed Everton have received no bids for midfielder Marouane Fellaini amid reported interest from Manchester United.

Marouane Fellaini could be reunited with David Moyes at Manchester United.
Fellaini was in impressive form for Everton last season.

• Payne: United in good shape

The Belgium international has been the subject of strong speculation linking him with a transfer away from Goodison Park this summer in a move that would see him reunited with former Everton manager David Moyes at United.

Previously allowed to leave the club for a fee of £23 million due to a clause in his contract, Martinez revealed that, as of yet, no bids have been tabled for Fellaini.

“There are no bids," he told the club's official website. "When you read that someone is interested in someone, it doesn't mean there is a bid on the table.

“Marouane has been working really hard. Leighton Baines has been working really hard for the team and that's all that matters.

“Headlines in the media happen at this time of the season unfortunately but it won't distract me from the work we have to do. I'm not bothered at all.

“It is speculation in the media and you'll never stop that. I've said from day one as a manager you only concentrate on working hard. I don't mind having my players grabbing headlines. That's a good story because it means they've been doing well and performing well.

“I'm only concentrating on having as strong a squad as possible for the start of the season. That's all my concern is.”

A source at United also confirmed to ESPN that there has been no contact between the two clubs over Fellaini.

Fellaini played 90 minutes for the Blues as they completed their tour of the US with a 1-0 defeat against Spanish side Valencia.
