Ozil: The future's bright under Ancelotti

Real Madrid's Mesut Ozil has said he is looking forward to a bright future for the club under new coach Carlo Ancelotti.

The Germany international, speaking to the press along with Karim Benzema and Alvaro Morata at the launch of Real's new away kit, said the transition from Jose Mourinho to Ancelotti was progressing smoothly.

"Ancelotti knows exactly what he wants," the 24-year-old explained. "He has clear ideas, and we are adapting to them. He will help this club grow, and I'm certain we're going to be successful this season."

Ozil said new signings and increased competition for places within the squad were further positives, adding: "I'm not worried about the arrival of Isco - he's a great player and a fantastic signing for Madrid.

"I don't mind where I play, although the right wing isn't my position - I prefer playing through the middle, where I can be creative."

Gonzalo Higuain, Benzema's rival for a starting berth in attack, left Real to join Naploli this week, and the France international said: "I am working hard this pre-season. I'm feeling good, and I think we're going to have a good season and win everything."

Youth team graduate Morata, 20, spoke of his hopes of emulating the example of former Real Madrid strikers who had made the step up from the youth ranks to the first team.

"My dream is to stay at Real Madrid and win titles," he said. "Pardeza, Butragueno and Raul came up through the youth ranks, and I want to follow in their footsteps.

"Ancelotti has asked the younger members of the squad to work even harder than the rest of the first team. I'm ready, and he can put his confidence in me."
