Napoli goalkeeper Morgan De Sanctis has joined Serie A rivals Roma after Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina moved to Naples on a season-long loan.
As Reina prepared to link up again with his former Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez, De Sanctis, 36, flew to Rome to put pen to paper on a two-year contract after a €500,000 fee was agreed.
The former Italy international told La Repubblica Sport: "It's all agreed. I'm here to work hard and to have a great season. Have I spoken to the coach [Rudi Garcia] yet? Yes."
De Sanctis passed his medical on Thursday afternoon, and will replace Maarten Stekelenburg, who has left for Fulham, in the Roma goal.
