Suarez and Rodgers set for crunch talks

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has arrived in Australia ahead of crunch talks with manager Brendan Rodgers over his future.

Suarez, 26, has been heavily linked with a move away from Anfield in recent weeks, with the likes of Arsenal and Real Madrid believed to be interested in signing the Uruguay international.

However, following Liverpool's 2-0 win over Indonesia XI in Jakarta - which Suarez was absent for - Rodgers confirmed he is looking forward to speaking with his star face-to-face.

Before Suarez touched down in Melbourne, Rodgers told The Sun: "He's on the plane and we will see him in Melbourne. I'm looking forward to seeing him, he's a player I've always supported.

"I understand the situation but the bottom line is he is employed by the club. The money goes into his bank at the end of every month, so he should be here. If he's not, which I doubt, there will be a problem.

Liverpool will take on A-League outfit Melbourne Victory on Wednesday in front of what is expected to be a crowd of 95,000 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
