Storelli BodyShield Leg Guard

Shin pads are the only mandatory piece of protective equipment required to play soccer, but they only protect the front of your legs. While it's important to keep shins protected, your ankles, outside of the legs and calves are the areas taking the majority of the impact during a game. Impact injuries are an unavoidable part of soccer, but the Storelli BodyShield Leg Guard has been created with the purpose of lessening them.

The Storelli BodyShield Leg Guard comes in the form of a sleeve that tightly wraps your leg, providing low-profile protection from nearly all angles. The sleeve itself is made from a high-quality compression fabric that wraps your leg comfortably, just tight enough to keep it locked in place.

Low-profile Poron XRD Foam inserts cover both sides of the ankle and wrap along the outside of the leg and part way across the back of the calf muscles. An elasticated stirrup wraps the mid-foot, locking the ankle guards in place, and the built-in shin guard sleeve allows you to simply insert the shin guard of your choice.

This one-piece system seems simple, but works so well. The Poron XRD Foam does a great job of reducing the blow when taking a kick to the side of the leg, and will certainly prevent any cuts to the side of the ankle. Since the padding is built into the sleeve, it wraps to the exact shape of your leg, making for almost no extra bulk and a very custom fit.

With a sock on top, the BodyShield Leg Guard is hardly even visible. Keep in mind that I am somebody who absolutely can't stand having anything bulky at all on my legs while playing, and I have no issues at all wearing these leg guards. Not to mention that the built-in shin guard sleeve works tremendously well, making tape to hold up your shin guards a thing of the past.

The Storelli BodyShield Leg Guard is a product that really helps to reduce the amount of impact injuries that you'll suffer throughout the season. If you frequently have issues with small cuts, bruises and just impact injuries in general, then I would strongly recommend investing in a pair of leg guards. Even if you have issues with sliding on harder playing surfaces, the leg guard will provide some fantastic protection.

It is one of very few products that I can actually recommend to anybody, for any position and is guaranteed to reduce the number of impact injuries that occur throughout the season, keeping you in the game at all times.
