Arsenal youngster Ryo Miyaichi could be returning to Feyenoord with the Dutch club revealing they are ‘working’ on regaining the Japanese international for a second loan spell.
The 20-year-old Miyaichi played for the Eredivisie club shortly after joining the Gunners in 2011, before making further loan moves to Bolton and Wigan.
However, the winger’s time with the Latics last season ended abruptly after he sustained ankle ligament damage during the club’s triumphant run to the FA Cup title.
But Feyenoord coach Ronald Koeman is undeterred by the player’s recent injury and admitted the move to bring Miyaichi back to the Netherlands was close.
"It's right we are also working on Ryo Miyaichi, but at the moment it's not clear what the situation is," Koeman told NuSport.
"After that, we can make a step. It's not that far yet."
