West Brom confirm Popov loan return

West Brom have confirmed that Dynamo Kiev defender Goran Popov is to stay at the club on loan this season.

Goran Popov is to spend another campaign at The Hawthorns.
Steve Clarke hopes Popov will be able to offer more in his second campaign.

- Chelsea fail in Brown bid

Macedonia international Popov, 28, spent last season at The Hawthorns on loan, making 12 appearances in the Premier League, and will remain with the Baggies for the coming campaign.

West Brom boss Steve Clarke said: “It was always our intention to get Goran back over the summer. He knows what the club's about and we know what he's about. He's a good player, and it makes sense to bring him back.

“He understands the Premier League better now as well, and we will look for even more from him next season.”

The deal is subject to international clearance.
