Chelsea agree fee for Van Ginkel

Chelsea have announced that a fee has been agreed for the signing of Vitesse Arnhem midfielder Marco van Ginkel.

Marco van Ginkel is set for a move to Stamford Bridge
Van Ginkel represented the Netherlands Under-21 side in Israel this summer

Netherlands Under-21 international Van Ginkel, 20, is reported to have held talks with Blues boss Jose Mourinho this week and is now set to complete a transfer that is reported to be worth around £8 million.

A statement on the club’s official website read: “Chelsea Football Club and Vitesse Arnhem have reached an agreement for the transfer of Marco van Ginkel.

“The player will join Chelsea subject to a medical, agreement of personal terms and legal documentation.”

Vitesse also announced the agreement on the Dutch side's official website.
