Fenerbahce have named former Turkey manager Ersun Yanal as their new head coach.
Yanal, who recently quit Eskisehirspor, will be charged with restoring the club to the top of the domestic league after they were banned from European competition for three seasons, with the third season deferred for five years.
They had qualified for the Champions League after finishing as runners-up to Galatasaray in the Turkish Super Lig.
Yanal, who has signed a one-year contract, managed the Turkish national side between 2005 and 2007 and replaces Turkish Cup-winning coach Aykut Kocaman who left the club in May after failing to win the league title.
