Elmohamady wraps up Hull switch

Hull City have completed the signing of winger Ahmed Elmohamady from Sunderland, with the Egypt international agreeing a three-year deal with the newly-promoted Tigers.

Elmohamady has spent much of the season at Hull across two loan spells
Elmohamady has made his move to Hull permanent

Elmohamady, 25, spent two successful loan spells with Hull last season and teams up again with Steve Bruce, the manager who brought him to Sunderland.

He moves for an undisclosed fee and told Hull’s official website: “It feels great to be here permanently, especially after what happened here last season.

“It was a great year, and I thoroughly enjoyed playing for this club. Everything about it was great - the players, the staff, the fans - and I am delighted to be here again.

"It’s going to be great to play in the Premier League again, especially with Hull City. Moving here was an easy decision to make. The fans are fantastic, and it will be enjoyable to play in front of them in the Premier League.”

Elmohamady found opportunities at Sunderland limited under Bruce’s successor, Martin O’Neill, and said he had relished the chance to work with Bruce again.

“The manager was the one who brought me over from Egypt to play for Sunderland and now he has brought me here,” he said.

“I really enjoy playing for him, and I look forward to doing so again now.”
