UEFA president Michel Platini has challenged new Paris Saint-Germain coach Laurent Blanc to show he is "worthy of the post".
Blanc, 47, is due to speak to the media on Thursday in his first press conference since agreeing a two-year deal to succeed Carlo Ancelotti at the Parc des Princes.
Speaking at the unveiling of the Euro 2016 logo in Paris on Wednesday, Platini said former Manchester United centre-back Blanc - who made his senior international debut in 1988 under his coaching regime - had been given "a good challenge" by the Ligue 1 champions.
"It's good that PSG have appointed a French coach," he said. "It's now up to him, with his players, to show that he is worthy of the post. It's a magnificent challenge to take on. It's good for Laurent."
