Tevez must complete community service

Carlos Tevez may have to complete his community service order before he can formally put an end to his seven-year stay in England, according to a report in the Daily Mirror.

• Jolly: Time is right to sell
• Horncastle: Juve coup

Tevez's move to the Italian champions was confirmed on Wednesday evening in a deal worth up to £12 million. But after receiving 250 hours community service in April for driving offences the former Man City, Man United and West Ham player must complete his sentence or face further court action in the United Kingdom.

Neither Tevez's camp or the Probation Service would comment on the situation regarding the striker's order, which is due to be completed within 12 months of sentencing.

"We do not comment on individuals," a Probation Service spokesperson said. "Offenders must serve the sentences handed down to them by the courts. Anyone who fails to do so will have action taken against them."

After taking time out from a family holiday to fly to Italy and complete his transfer, Tevez confirmed interest from Juve's rivals AC Milan in his services.

"I'm very happy to be at Juve, as this is a great satisfaction for me," he said. "I will say everything else in the press conference. Juve wanted me more than Milan."

A statement on the club's official website confirmed that the Argentina international, 29, has signed with the Bianconeri until 2016 and will be officially unveiled on Thursday at 10.30am BST.
