U.S. to play Aug. 14 friendly in Bosnia

CHICAGO -- The U.S. men will play Bosnia-Herzegovina in an Aug. 14 exhibition, three weeks before the Americans resume World Cup qualifying.

The game at Asim Ferhatovic Hase Stadium in Sarajevo will be the first ever between the two teams. Bosnia-Herzegovina is currently 15th in the world, its all-time highest ranking, and leads its qualifying group for the World Cup by three points. The Dragons are unbeaten in their last nine matches, and U.S. coach Jurgen Klinsmann says they will be a "good challenge" for the Americans.

The U.S. is atop the six-team CONCACAF group after winning three qualifiers in the last two weeks. After playing Bosnia, the Americans resume qualifying with a Sept. 6 game in Costa Rica and then host Mexico four days later in Columbus, Ohio.
