Celtic start defence against Ross County

Celtic will begin their SPL title defence for the 2013-14 season at home to Ross County on Saturday, August 3.

Neil Lennon's side will then travel to Aberdeen a fortnight later - with a friendly against Liverpool in between - as their bid to secure a hat-trick of championships begins.

Partick Thistle's return to the top flight will be marked by them welcoming Dundee United, managed by former Partick player and manager Jackie McNamara.

Hearts will travel to St Johnstone to begin a campaign in which they will have a 15-point deduction after entering administration, while last term's second-placed side Motherwell will visit Easter Road for a match against Hibernian on Sunday.

SPL opening weekend fixtures:

Aberdeen v Kilmarnock

Celtic v Ross County

Inverness CT v St Mirren

Partick v Dundee Utd

St Johnstone v Hearts
