Wigan face Barnsley in Champ opener

FA Cup holders Wigan Athletic will begin life in the Championship away to Barnsley, with Owen Coyle's first competitive game in charge of the Latics coming a week before a Community Shield showdown with Manchester United.

Coyle takes his side to Oakwell in Wigan's first game back in the division since 2004, while fellow relegated club QPR host Sheffield Wednesday at Loftus Road and Reading play Ipswich.
