Elia and Arnautovic to return

New Werder Bremen coach Robin Dutt is ready to welcome back Eljero Elia and Marko Arnautovic into the fold after they were frozen out by former coach Thomas Schaaf.

The pair spent the last month of the season training alone following a string of disciplinary problems, but Dutt has told Bild that he is ready to forgive and forget as he believes they could make a difference to Bremen's fortunes next season.

"Elia and Arnautovic are two very special spices which could do our recipe a lot of good," he said. "If we get things right, then they could enrich any meal."

Kevin de Bruyne and Sokratis Papastathopoulos have already departed the club this summer, and although he is targeting new signings to strengthen his side, Dutt has claimed that more players could be sold too and expects a busy summer transfer window.

"We need a forward and a defender," he said. "And it is also possible that we sell some more players and bring a few in during August."
