QPR get Exeter trip in Capital One Cup
Queens Park Rangers' relegation from the Premier League will be thrown into sharp relief in August after they were handed an away trip to League Two side Exeter City in the draw for the first round of the Capital One Cup.
QPR's last away game was at Anfield, where they lost to Liverpool on the final day of last season, but they will travel to the far smaller St James Park in the first week of August, just days after the Championship campaign kicks off.
Last season's finalists Bradford City will begin this season's campaign with a shirt trip to Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield Town.
Phil Parkinson's side - who won promotion to League One via the play-offs last season - will make the trip to the Galpharm Stadium for the first-round tie less than six months after they lost to Premier League side Swansea City 5-0 in the final having beaten three other top-flight clubs to reach Wembley.
