Lille set to sell Digne and Payet

Lille have revealed they are open to offers for Lucas Digne and Dimitri Payet but are fiercely determined to hang on to Florian Thauvin this summer.

After slipping down to sixth and out of the European qualifying places on the final day of the season, Lille need to trim their squad during the upcoming transfer window. Paris Saint-Germain are widely reported to be ready to pay €15 million for Digne, 19, while French media believe Marseille would happily take Payet, 26, for €10 million.

Though both players have recently suggested they would not be against the moves, Lille's deputy director general, Frederic Paquet, told RMC no potential buyer has yet made themselves known.

"We've had absolutely no offers for Lucas Digne and Dimtri Payet," he explained. "We've got our ears open, and if there's an offer which corresponds to the market value, we'll think about it. When it comes down to it, Lille has to get what's coming to it."

Salomon Kalou, who only joined Lille from Chelsea last summer, and Cameroonian international centre-back Aurelien Chedjou are also poised to leave the club while coach Rudi Garcia looks set to be appointed the new boss of Roma.

Ex-Montpellier coach Rene Girard is widely expected to take the reins of the 2010-11 Ligue 1 champions given his past experience and success in working with young players, and the former France Under-21 boss will likely have Thauvin, 20, at his disposal.

Bought by Lille from Bastia in January, the highly-rated attacking midfielder spent the remainder of the campaign on loan back in Corsica. French media have consistently reported the uncertainty over Garcia's future and lack of European football for next season has left Thauvin nursing regrets over the move.

Marseille, who are focussing their summer buying on the domestic market, are reportedly keen to move in, but after Lille president Michel Seydoux told La Provence it was "out of the question" Thauvin would leave the club without having even played for them, Paquet reinforced the message.

He said: "There is not even a Thauvin dossier. The question isn't even being asked. He'll be at Lille next season. President Seydoux has been clear. Everyone is on the same wavelength."
