Deschamps: Brazil among world's best

France boss Didier Deschamps believes Brazil proved they deserve to be higher than 22nd in the FIFA world rankings after a convincing 3-0 friendly win over Les Bleus on Sunday.

Goals to Oscar, Hernanes and Lucas Moura gave the Selecao an ideal preparation for the Confederations Cup, although France offered little resistance in defence.

Brazil's counter attack proved too quick for Deschamps' side and the 44-year-old believes Brazil should be both respected and feared for their crop of emerging players.

"There is a new generation of players, full of talent," Deschamps said following the defeat. "Maybe they don't have as much international experience as previous generations before them but they are preparing for it. Today Brazil are one of the best teams in the world."

Hernanes, who scored within minutes of being substituted on for Luis Gustavo, insists he redeemed himself after receiving a red card when Brazil last faced France in 2011.

"I was very concentrated on the bench, waiting for my opportunity, because the last game against France should be forgotten," Hernanes said. "I thought I would not get on the field, but I played and got to rewrite history. It was an important win, it gives us peace of mind to keep working."

Chelsea midfielder Oscar insists the result gives Brazil strong hopes of winning another major trophy in front of their home fans.

"We are very happy with the win, as it's important, we played against a very good French team and we hope to make a good debut in the Confederations Cup, so that we can win the game," he said.

Brazil forward Neymar claims Brazil are gradually improving and will return the quality that saw them lift the 2002 World Cup.

"We are happy about winning," he said. "We are getting better with each game. We have a desire to keep improving and this victory has given us increased confidence for the Confederations Cup.

"We are working with humility and dedication. Believe me when I say Scolari will prove successful again. We are building a large group. We are doing things right. We have to patient and calm because in the end we will be rewarded for it."
