The Los Angeles Galaxy has made an $8 million offer to 24-year-old Mexico team winger Giovani dos Santos, who was a point of contention last week as his club, Mallorca, battled La Liga relegation without success.
According to a report out of Mallorca from Ultima Hora's Miguel Alzamora, the MLS club extended an offer to rising star Dos Santos, who is rumored to be headed to Valencia.
Dos Santos' contract is shared by Mallorca and Tottenham Hotspur, according to Alzamora, who added that Dos Santos seeks to play for a first-division Spanish club. Dos Santos has played for Barcelona, Ipswich Town and Galatasaray.
Dos Santos missed Mallorca's final match after the Mexican federation recalled dos Santos for CONCACAF Hex qualifiers against Jamaica and Panama.
