Suarez to lead Uruguay in Brazil
Liverpool striker Luis Suarez will lead Uruguay into the Confederations Cup, with Charruas boss Oscar Washington Tabarez naming his final 23-man squad for the tournament.
Suarez was named alongside Edinson Cavani and Diego Forlan in attack for Uruguay, while Liverpool defender Sebastian Coates and Southampton's Gaston Ramirez's retained their places.
Tabarez was forced to cut two players from his preliminary squad, with Olimpia midfielder Alejandro Silva and Penarol defender Adrian Valdes sent home ahead of Wednesday's friendly against France.
Uruguay will make their first Confederations Cup appearance on June 16 against Spain, before taking on Nigeria and Tahiti to round out the group stage.
