Marica hat-trick in Romania rout

Ciprian Marica hit a hat-trick as Romania cantered to a 4-0 win over Trinidad & Tobago in tonight's friendly international in Bucharest.

The Schalke striker opened the scoring after half an hour and then doubled his tally two minutes later to resister his 20th international goal on his 61st appearance.

Daneil Cyrus' own goal made it three early in the second half, before Marica sealed his maiden international hat-trick when he added the fourth nine minutes from time.

Poland were 2-0 winners over Liechtenstein courtesy of goals by Artur Sobiech and Maciej Rybus, while second-half strikes by Georgi Iliev and Ivan Ivanov saw Bulgaria to a 2-1 win in Kazakhstan, who replied late on through Dmitriy Shomko.

In other friendly internationals today, Jordan defeated New Zealand 1-0, Egypt drew 1-1 with Botswana, Tajikistan beat Afghanistan 3-2, Singapore were 2-0 winners over Myanmar and Hong Kong lost 1-0 to the Philippines.
