Spain boss Vicente Del Bosque says he has been surprised by Jose Mourinho's treatment of Iker Casillas at Real Madrid.
Casillas played just 19 games for Real last season after falling out with Mourinho, and was omitted from the matchday squad entirely for the final game of the season against Osasuna.
Del Bosque, who played Casillas in Spain's 2010 World Cup and 2012 European Championship triumphs, insists the goalkeeper has done nothing wrong.
"I find it hard to believe that Iker dropped out of the squad," he said. "It's hard to believe because I've known him for many years and his career has always been impeccable.
"I have not had the chance to speak to him since the game we played in France, but while it's none of my business and an internal matter for the club I have no reason to believe it is true."
Del Bosque has named Casillas in Spain's squad for the Confederations Cup and their upcoming international friendlies against Haiti and Ireland.
