Donadoni denies Milan, Roma links

Parma manager Roberto Donadoni has distanced himself from links to coaching roles at Roma and AC Milan.

The former Italy national team manager was the subject of an approach from Roma last week, according to his assistant Mario Bortolazzi.

He told Sky Sport Italia: "An offer arrived from Roma. In any case, nothing will happen, as we will certainly remain at Parma."

Donadoni has also been talked about as a potential replacement for Massimiliano Allegri at Milan. Donadoni spent over ten years playing for the Rossoneri, winning five Serie A titles and three European Cups.

But he has released a statement on Parma's official club website in an attempt to end the rumours about his future.

He said: "I confirm once more so as to avoid any misunderstandings that I am staying at Parma.

"I am happy here and fully in sync with President Tommaso Ghirardi and director Pietro Leonardi, while I have a contract for another two years.

"Seeing as the reports continue to circulate, I wish to once again publicly state my position out of respect for the club, the team and all the fans.

"It is June and I have already planned out next season with Parma. This is a club I consider to be absolutely at the top level and therefore I have no reason to leave."
