Allegri fate to be decided by Sunday

AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi says a decision on the future of Massimiliano Allegri will be made by Sunday evening.

• Mario backed over drug claim
• Paul: Allegri alternatives emerge

Despite a troubled start to the season, Milan ended their campaign with a flourish as Allegri guided the club to third spot in Serie A, securing them a place in next season's Champions League in the process.

However, the future of the coach, who is under contract until 2014, has been up in the air for some time, and former Rossoneri midfielder Clarence Seedorf has been touted as a possible replacement.

"I believe that I'll meet with [Milan CEO Adriano] Galliani and the coach before Sunday evening and I'm sure a solution will be found," Berlusconi told reporters.

"It won't be difficult if everyone chooses what's best for our club."

Allegri was photographed having dinner with Galliani on Thursday, leading to speculation that the pair were discussing the coach's future, much to the annoyance of the CEO.

"They took a photo last night and I told them not to put it on Twitter so a minute later that's where it was. That's technology for you," he said.

"The dinner last night was lovely and the fish was delicious. Was it the last supper? That would be blasphemy..."
