Sao Paulo’s director of football Adalberto Batista has said the club is “not interested” in handing over Ganso to Paris Saint-Germain.
However, Batista conceded that the Brazilian club could not stand in the player's way if a substantial offer was put on the table.
The Brazil international has long been rumoured with a move to Europe with the French capital a seemingly preferred destination.
But Batista has poured cold water on the speculation, confident only a sizeable deal would secure the 23-year-old’s signature.
“We have very good relations with Paris Saint-Germain, a good relationship with Leonardo but Sao Paulo are not interested in letting Ganso go,” he told Radio ESPN.
“Of course that is what we said about Luís Fabiano and other players apply here too, I can't say that if there is a big offer we will say no.
“But that's it, the offer needs to be one we can't refuse. But honestly, I don't think Ganso wants to leave now he is recovering his best form."
