Diego Fagundez: 3rd in row with goal
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Diego Fagundez extended his scoring streak to three matches, netting his fourth goal of the season to lead the New England Revolution against Toronto FC 2-0 on Saturday night.
The 18-year old Fagundez, who hails from the Boston suburb of Leominster, put the Revolution in front in the 23rd minute, one-timing a right-footed shot off the right wing after taking a long cross from the left side by Chris Tierney.
Toronto (1-7-4) lost its fifth straight and is winless in its last 10 matches (0-6-4).
New England goalkeeper Bobby Shuttleworth notched his second straight shutout, his fifth of the season and seventh overall for the Revolution. Shuttleworth had to make only two saves on non-testing shots, while also facing three corner kicks.
